So the weirdest tender in the league was a first and third round tender placed on Standford Routt. Clearly last season Routt was burned for touchdown and big play, after touchdown and big play. What has not been made clear is why he was tendered so high. The club has not commented on any reasoning to any tendered players. Coach cable and Al Davis have to have something up there sleeve with this situation. There is no way any team will trade for Routt or even want him. So why tender him so high?

It doesn't come as a surprise to me to hear that Al Davis and the Oakland Raiders are considering potential quarterback Donovan McNabb. With the speculation already proving high a day into the so called "story," Oakland have greased up their very eager fingers in anticipation of signing the once Super Bowl-leading quarterback.
In his time with Philadelphia, Donovan McNabb experienced a wide range of emotions and feelings that could have easily put the most unstable of quarterbacks off. From love, to hate, to a burn mark in his front lawn that has kept even the most talented of groundsmen at ...
Once a proud franchise that spent much of the early part of the last decade as contenders in the American League West, once a franchise that was hailed all across the world of baseball as a club that practiced the once revolutionary method of "Moneyball" under the direction of general manager Billy Beane, once a franchise that fans could count on to challenge the New York Yankees for American League supremacy, the Oakland Athletics are now one of baseball's failing franchises—a downward spiral that has taken place over a mere three seasons.
And it mostly, if not all, can be blamed ...
In 2004, the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles reached an agreement that sent Terrell Owens to play with the Eagles. In his first season, Owens played in 14 games, caught 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. The next season, he only played in seven, yet still able to record over 700 yards and six touchdowns.
Frustrated with the team, his contract and his quarterback, Owens took his anger out on everyone but himself. The drama was so distracting that the Eagles soon traded Owens away–to their division rival, the Dallas Cowboys. Playing 47 games as a part of "America's Team," Owens ...
The lack of information flowing from the Oakland Raiders front office this off-season has spurred a lot of debate within Raider Nation. Some fans think Al Davis is back to his old, wiley self; others think that he has just lost his mind. Whatever the case, it leaves the Silver & Black faithful answerless and wondering.
What happens when there is a lack of information?
Speculation.
Speculation is all Raider fans have to hold on to this off-season. I've heard every option from trading standout cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha for draft picks to drafting Jimmy Claussen to switching to a 3-4 defensive ...
The talk of the day at the NFL's owners meetings is the announcement of the availability of Donovan McNabb.
Head coach Andy Reid said that all three of the teams quarterbacks are available.
This signals the beginning of the Kevin Kolb era in Philadelphia, and the likely end of veteran Donovan McNabb.
Rumors begin to loom about the potential suitors for McNabb.
Immediate reaction believes the Cardinals and Vikings may be interested.
However, reported moments ago by Fox Sports Jay Glazer, the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills are among the teams interested in McNabb, via twitter.

Al Davis is not the type of guy to shy away from a player he likes.
Apparently he happens to like Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, this according to Yahoo! Sports.
"Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid said Wednesday the team is entertaining offers for Donovan McNabb, and multiple sources told Yahoo! Sports the Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders have inquired about the quarterback’s availability."
This is not surprising considering Davis has made major trades involving big name players the last two years. He brought in Deangelo Hall in 2008 and Richard Seymour in 2009.
If these "sources" are correct then that means Davis and the Raiders aren't ...
The Oakland Raiders might be interested in acquiring Donovan McNabb from the Philadelphia Eagles, but folks are quick to point out the improbability of such a deal.

A source who has followed JaMarcus Russell's offseason workouts says the quarterback heard that there are teams in the NFC South, and another club in the AFC South, who would be willing to trade for Russell if the Raiders want to unload him and his contract.

The Denver Post has reported that the Denver Broncos want to host the Oakland Raiders on the first Monday of the opening week.
If this happens it will be great news for the Raiders and JaMarcus Russell. The Raiders and Russell have won the last two games in Denver.
Russell has actually played well against the Broncos in his career. He didn't start the game last season, but he came in like Mariano Rivera and closed the game for the Raiders. He also helped close the hopes the Broncos had of making the playoffs.
Russell has a QB rating of 126.8 in Denver with ...
