Moving the Oakland Raiders from potential energy to kinetic energy is the job of Hue Jackson. From reports in the media, Jackson is doing his job, talking a lot, and making a sound of success.
The tone out there on the practice field is crisp and focused, with Jason Campbell throwing what one commentator described as crisp and focused passes.
The idea is to simulate and practice to the tone of what the players will experience in a real game. Of course, they may have pushed this idea to the edge because a few complaints have been lodged against the Oakland Raiders. ...
Okay, just when you thought the Raiders had taken care of stuffing the run they go out and get another defensive play-maker.
Yes Raider fans, the Oakland Raiders and Al Davis have gone out and signed pro bowler John Henderson! John Henderson is a massive 6'7", 335 lb DT!! I realize that his performance has dropped in recent years but regardless, if he grabs ahold of you he will stop you and this is what the Oakland Raiders need. A huge defensive front is just what the doctor ordered.
With nine years experience, John Henderson can only add to the power ...
Are we dreaming in Raider Nation?
Someone must be listening.
The Raiders have reportedly signed free-agent defensive tackle, and former Jacksonville Jaguar, John Henderson.
Henderson had fallen out of favor with Jacksonville head coach Jack Del Rio, while the Jaguars appear to have revamped their defensive line with rookies from the 2010 NFL draft.
ESPN's Adam Schefter and Sportsline.com have both reported this transaction. (Gee, I sure do like when ESPN gets a story right about the Raiders.)
Henderson's presence could potentially spell the end for current tackle Tommy Kelly's time in Oakland. Kelly signed one of the most lucrative contracts for a defensive tackle ...
For years the Raiders' interior D-line has been the biggest weakness of the Raiders defense, and because of that the Raiders have been in the bottom of the league in run defense.
Most recently they have plugged in players like Terdell Sands and Gerard Warren next to Tommy Kelly to no avail.
But now with the recent addition of John Henderson, things may finally be different. The Raiders may actually have a decent run defense now.
With other offseason additions like Kamerion Wimbley, Quentin Groves, Rolando McClain, and Lamarr Houston, the Raiders' front seven is finally looking fierce.
Also with the emergence of Desmond Bryant ...
If you take time to view some of the videos on an NFL website, you will learn that a new attitude is evident in the Oakland Raiders team.
A change of quarterback implies a new attitude. It is amazing how one man in and another man out can make a difference in the dynamics of the team.
Let's just say that now when the players wake up each morning they have something to look forward to. They look forward to being a part of a winning team.
Another thing you can say is that the Oakland Raiders have experienced a break down over ...
This Q&A with DHB was found on the Oakland Raider's official website.
Again, I have to start this article out by saying, this is not my work.
I'm tired of reading the same recycled material over and over on B/R. (Which I'm guilty of myself.)
It's important for me to say that I've met some great writers here in the B/R community, that more than hold their own when writing their aritlces. There's about 10 to 15 good writers in our Raider community, and I won't call you out. I'm sure you know who you are.
As for everyone else (including myself) it's the same recycled ariticles over and over.
So instead, ...
Tom Cable recently said that Michael Bush and Darren McFadden will share the load this season. He also said both guys are playing like No. 1's.
While it is only June it is a very good sign for the Raiders.
It's also a good time to have some fun and think of a great name for this backfield combo.
The following are ten nicknames that would fit this young and talented combo.

Tom Cable addressed the media Wednesday after OTA. In his briefing, he said he was impressed by both the running backs, Darren McFadden and Michael Bush.
“I think they’re both doing something exciting each day, whether it’s running the ball or pass protecting,” Cable said. “Each one of them has their own strength but they both show up every time we come out here. I actually think they're both [No. 1s] and I think it’s a great deal we got going here.”
Earlier this offseason, Cable said he wanted one of the running backs to "grab the job by the horns," ...
The A's have certainly had plenty of talented starting pitchers come along over the years. Narrowing down this list to the top 10 was no easy chore, although Robert Slye Jr. did a great job of analyzing the top 10 pitchers in the franchise's history.
I'm concentrating on just the starting pitchers, and there have been some great ones for this franchise. In fact, half of the pitchers on the top 10 list are in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Raiders are getting help in their quest to win the division title this year. The draft and free agency look to be the completion of the Raiders' long rebuilding process.
The head coaching spot is stable as Tom Cable will continue to lead Raider Nation. Cable will have a better supporting cast with the additions of offensive coordinator Hue Jackson and defensive line coach Mike Waufle.
Believe it or not, what the Raiders have done isn't even the best part. The Raiders actually appear to be getting help from outside.
Where is it coming from?
It's looks like it's coming from the other AFC west teams.
The Kansas City Chiefs don't really count. They have been at ...
