Every year, many promising players fall out of the draft and immediately become free agents, and 2013 will be no exception.Immediately after the draft ends, general managers and their staff get on the phones trying to get agreements with the agents of priority undrafted free agents (UDFAs) to have their clients visit their team.Likewise the agents are calling up teams to arrange for their clients to have a spot in training camp of their favorite team. Here are some players the Raiders will likely target.Begin Slideshow
With the 13 pick in the sixth round, the Raiders took a large and fast RB prospect in Latavius Murray out of Central Florida.Murray is very big for a running back, at 6'2" 223 lbs. Despite that height and weight, he reportedly ran his 40-yard dash in under 4.4 seconds, which is a very impressive speed.Murray had a productive four-year career at Central Florida, carrying the ball over 450 times and averaging 5.4 yards per carry with 37 rushing TD. He added 50 receptions for another six receiving touchdowns.Begin Slideshow
The Raiders had a number of picks in the sixth round and they led off with the selection of the towering TE out of Colorado, Nick Kasa.Kasa has prototypical size at 6'6", 270 lbs. He is still learning the TE position, having been a DE coming out of high school and for most of his college career, but he is a physical and punishing blocker at tight end and has good speed when he doesn't have to change direction abruptly. His biggest struggle will be learning the intricacies of running routes efficiently and catching difficult balls in traffic.Begin Slideshow

In the fourth round of the 2013 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders added former Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson, a skilled and productive quarterback his junior year, though he had some struggles in 2012, his senior season. The drafting of Wilson begs the question: Could Wilson be the Raiders' starting signal-caller in 2013? The Raiders have only two other quarterbacks on their roster, and neither is a slam-dunk to start. Also, the Raiders are not going to compete for the Superbowl in 2013 so getting their new rookie QB some playing time may make sense for the Oakland brass.Next: Looking at the QB ...
With the 15th pick in the fourth round (No. 112 overall), the Oakland Raiders selected Tyler Wilson out of Arkansas. By doing so, the organization has added yet another serviceable quarterback to its stable and added to the conundrum that coach Dennis Allen has to sort out this offseason.During training camp, Wilson will compete with Terrelle Pryor—the third-year man selected in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft—and the recently acquired Matt Flynn for the starting job. Because none of these players have consistently proven themselves at the NFL level, it’s hard to predict who will wind up the ...

The newest QB to be suiting up for the Raiders will be Tyler Wilson from Arkansas. Oakland got him with the 112th-overall pick.In starting for just two years at Arkansas, Wilson combined to throw for more than 7,000 yards and 45 touchdowns. He earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2011 when he took his team to the Cotton Bowl. To win in the ...
The Oakland Raiders made Tyler Wilson the third quarterback drafted in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL draft. Wilson was once considered an early-round quarterback prospect, but he saw his draft stock slide due to a poor final season for the Arkansas Razorbacks. However, Wilson has the overall skill set to be a very good starting quarterback in the NFL. Let's take a look at how Oakland's newest quarterback will fare in the NFL. Pro OutlookThere isn't much lacking in Wilson's overall game. He's got great arm strength and the ability to make all the throws necessary in the NFL. At 6'2" ...
Although David Bass is coming from a Division II program (Missouri Western State), his game translates to the NFL. He has good size (6'4", 262 pounds), has proven performance and durability and is a high-effort, high-character guy.Bass started every one of the 50 games he's played in for the Griffons, and in that time he recorded 39.5 sacks. He played outside linebacker in college, but it's unclear which position he'll be asked to play in the professional ranks. That also depends upon the scheme of the team he gets drafted by.Bass' effort and production are not the issue. His technique will need ...
With three rounds of the 2013 NFL Draft now in the books, there remain a significant number of intriguing prospects available for the Oakland Raiders heading into Saturday.  Thus far, the Raiders have added one of the draft’s best cover cornerbacks in Houston’s D.J. Hayden, Florida State offensive tackle Menelik Watson, and Connecticut linebacker Sio Moore.  With these picks, we have seen the Raiders’ new “best player available” draft strategy on full display, and that will continue as we move into day three.  Having said that, the best player available always seems to make the most sense from an outside ...
