With the scouting combine now complete, the Oakland Raiders will be one step closer to finalizing their prospect evaluations ahead of the 2014 NFL draft.  Of course, free agency will have a significant effect on the way the Raiders draft this offseason, as they will have more salary-cap space to work with than any other team. Even so, the organization has plenty of needs to fill, and some are more likely than others to be addressed in May’s draft. Here is an updated Oakland Raiders seven-round mock draft following the combine.Begin Slideshow
Well, it's all over. As quickly as South Carolina's resident freak of nature Jadeveon Clowney ran his 40-yard dash, the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine came and went. The Oakland Raiders brass was in full attendance, as they engaged with some of top prospects. From general manager Reggie McKenzie to head coach Dennis Allen and owner Mark Davis, the entire Raiders administration got involved in the process. In a conversation with San Francisco Chronicle beat writer Vic Tafur, Davis stressed the importance of making sure this offseason is a huge success: Every offseason is the most important at that time, but this is one that we've been building toward the last few ...
Quarterback Terrelle Pryor’s days as a member of the Oakland Raiders are numbered. Late owner Al Davis’ last draft pick is so unlikely to remain with the team in 2014; all that’s left is the formality of his exit. The future at the quarterback position for the Raiders is so uncertain; they may consider drafting a quarterback that doesn’t start in Year 1 at No. 5 overall. The Raiders may also seriously consider signing Josh Freeman in free agency to serve as a bridge to the future. The only thing that seems certain at this point is that Pryor isn’t part of ...
The Oakland Raiders are in need of a franchise quarterback, and they won't win until they find one. With a quarterback class as deep as 2014's, it's easy to drool over the possibility of drafting a brand-new signal-caller. But for the Raiders, that needn't be the response. Not in the first round, at least. The Raiders already have a young, talented quarterback in Matt McGloin. Despite his 1-5 record last year, he played well enough to be considered for the starting job. The red-headed kid from Scranton, Pa., started his career the right way after leading the Raiders to a 28-23 win over the ...
The Oakland A's have traveled to Arizona for another year of spring training camp. With returnees, new signings, freshly acquired players, prospects and a slew of non-roster invitees, it's time to break down the A's, position by position. Most positions are all but locked up already but that doesn't mean others are short on competition. Spring training offers plenty of intrigues. Oakland has more than a few guys fighting for a roster spot. It also has a prospect or two looking to prove they're worth the hype. There may even be a guy somewhere in camp that has the potential to pull ...
The 2014 NFL scouting combine will wrap up on Tuesday, putting yet another important part of the Oakland Raiders’ predraft process in the books.  Some will downplay the event, while others will overhype it. Either way, the week represents a time for teams to get to know the young prospects who will populate their draft boards this spring, as well as an opportunity for little-known players to make themselves stand out.  As is the case every year, there were a number of players who had notable performances, either gaining increased attention from teams and media alike or simply further cementing themselves as ...
Snoop Dogg is one of the biggest football fans out of any celebrity, so it's no surprise that he was in Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine. He was there to announce his role with Adidas as the brand's Director of Football Development and the company's plans to award $100,000 to the player who runs the fastest 40-yard dash in Adidas' AdiZero 5-Star 40 cleat. Snoop's pick? Oregon's De'Anthony Thomas. We caught up with Snoop to ask about his favorite team: the Oakland Raiders. Who does he think should be the Raiders quarterback next season? Watch as Snoop gives us his thoughts on the QB situation in Oakland in the ...
In 2013, the Oakland Raiders were slashing contracts like Wal-Mart slashes prices. In 2014, things couldn't be any more different. As general manager Reggie McKenzie did his best to rid the team of overpaid contracts left behind by late owner Al Davis, he opened up the floodgates for piles of money to come Oakland's way. As of now, the Raiders have over $60 million in cap space to work with, but it's anybody's guess as to who they'll land once free agency begins March 11. The team still has many needs to address, but with a full draft board to work with, as ...
The Oakland Raiders have a major need at quarterback this offseason. Will they take a QB with the No.5 pick?  Could they trade down and still get their guy? Watch as Adam Lefkoe and Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle discuss which quarterbacks the Raiders are eyeing at the NFL Scouting Combine.Read more Oakland Raiders news on BleacherReport.com

Examining all of the "top" prospects heading into this weekend's combine, now's the time to piece together the ultimate Raiders Round 1 big board.   1.
