The 2014 NFL draft is finally here. In case you weren't ready for it two weeks ago or decided to lock yourself in an underground bunker to avoid the silly reports this time of year, allow Bleacher Report to get you up to speed. The Oakland Raiders enter a pivotal year of the post-Al Davis era. General manager Reggie McKenzie has a whopping four picks in the first 107 of the draft, doubling the number of picks he's had in that range over the last two years. Besides a few late-round picks McKenzie traded away, the Raiders have a full assortment ...
Raider Nation, the time is almost here for the NFL draft. It's been a long wait, and I'm sure everyone is tired of the rumors and mock drafts by now. Some already have the Raiders penciled in as taking a certain player at No. 5, while others have the Raiders making a blockbuster trade and acquiring more picks. The reality is we don't know what the Raiders are going to do. Last year they surprised many by taking cornerback D.J. Hayden after trading out of the third overall pick. What will they do this year?  Per Jerry McDonald of the Contra ...
The Reggie McKenzie Era is entering Year 3 in Oakland, California. Dennis Allen, despite having a record of 8-24, will be the first Raiders head coach to be on the sidelines for three consecutive years since Jon Gruden. McKenzie has finally given Allen a decent roster to work with after two years of putting the team in salary-cap hell just to be in a stronger financial position moving forward. The new regime's first two years have been far from perfect, leaving many to question whether Allen and McKenzie have much time left. The general manager's first two drafts have not produced very ...

The Oakland A’s deserve some much-needed home cooking, particularly after the grueling three-game series against the Boston Red Sox over the weekend. All three games were intense, as the A’s were strongly tested by the World Series champions. Oakland escaped with a 10-inning victory on Sunday to take the last game in the series, avoiding a sweep by doing so. Each contest was a struggle for the Athletics. In fact, in all three facets of the game—pitching, hitting and fielding—the A’s were generally outplayed. On the cusp of being swept out of Boston on the heels of an inspiring three-game sweep of ...
